Southeast Asia is not only about culture, friendly people and delicious food. No. It is also one of the best beach break destinations you can think of. A lot of islands, long stretched coast lines and a tropical climate. Did you know that even the landlocked Laos has more than 4.000 islands? Time for a top 3 of Southeast Asian beach break hotspots:
The Centre of Vietnam has been famous for being home to the world’s largest cave – Son Doong. Recently two more caves opened, located right in the core of Phong Nha Ke Bang Park. Their spectacular limestone structures are a must-see: imagine thousands of limestone pillars rising up from the bottom of the jade lakes and giving visitors a ‘wow’ feeling. Tours are available between February and August… including a night spend inside the caves!
Ninh Van Bay: a hideaway retreat located in Khanh Hoa Province. Since the only way to access this beautiful bay is by boat, you will instantly get a ‘hideaway’ feeling. The sense of solitude extends further as you explore the surroundings; soaring mountains, dramatic rock formations, pristine beaches and gorgeous coastline. The quiet, natural surroundings and white sandy beach makes Ninh Van Bay an ideal place for wellness activities such as detox treatments, yoga and tai-chi to refresh and re-energise you at a deeper level. Spend a wellness week in Ninh Van Bay and for a zen return home.
3. Best Dive in Burma Banks
For adventurous travelers Burma Banks should be on top any MICE- and bucket list. This site is located 125km west of Kawthaung, outside of the Mergui Archipelago, and has been voted the best dive area in Myanmar. With good reason: it includes enormous flat topped sea mounts, rising to within 15 metres of the Andaman Sea surface!
