From visiting a traditional tribe and enjoying wildlife on a game drive in South-Africa to dining with elephants in Zambia.
Extraordinary dinner company
At the end of June 2016 a new activity will be introduced in Victoria Falls in Livingstone, Zambia: dining with elephants. This will be a half day surprising excursion that includes a 20 minute jet boat transfer to a secluded island, interaction with a large family of magnificent, habituated elephants and a delicious meal. The maximum number of people who can join this activity as a group is 50 people.
At Sekuti Island guests can enjoy tea and coffee and a talk by a well-known modern-day explorer. After they will take a short pontoon ride to The Elephant Café, a new restaurant built on a deck in the Zambezi River. This unique place is set among a resident herd of orphaned and rescued elephants. This small, gorgeous and eco-friendly venue will feature wild edibles and local, seasonal ingredients by chef Annabel.
Danny and the herd
While enjoying a drink at the bank of the café, suddenly the elephants will appear on cue, definitely a highlight of the day. The herd exists of ten elephants ranging from Danny, the huge male with magnificent tusks, to new babies that were born in captivity. Dining with the elephants is an astonishing experience: imagine elephants emerging from the bush and within minutes ending up right in front of you. It is important to note that the elephants are coached purely on reward basis, by using food and compliments.
