India, the country of colourful people, rich history and the most tasteful spices and curries you have ever tasted. Besides all the leisure travel highlights, it is also a suprising MICE destination for people from all over the world. Even more interesting is the fact that India is making it much easier to visit the country: from today the visa procedure can be done in only a few clicks on the internet. Part I of the countries visa-list has been launched today. The Netherlands and Belgium will follow as soon as possible.

Nine e-visa airports
India offers a tourist visa upon arrival at nine international airports: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Goa. In order to get an e-visa, visitors would need to apply on the visa website, along with the required fees. An electronic version of the visa will  be send within 96 hours. Much faster and easier than it was before.

As per the governmental decision, all countries, except Pakistan, Sudan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Sri Lanka and Somalia, would be brought into the new e-visa procedure over the next two years.
